Shoes have certainly been put to the test in the recent cold snap. Keeping toes warm in thick socks and sitting near a fire or radiator has been a very welcoming idea! Children that run around in the cold can stand the chill better than those that are inactive, so many children might not have noticed the chill inside their shoes as they keep busy jumping and darting about.
In colder climates, we ask a lot of our children's shoes. We need them to prevent slipping and keep their feet warm when outside and keep them dry in wet or snowy conditions. And to top it off, we need their shoes to continue to provide this high level of protection all winter long.
