About Jump Shoes

Jump Shoes is situated within a hub of independent retailers in a charming community on Gosforth High Street in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The shop sells a great selection of women’s and children’s shoes, and with parents in the management team, the shop is dedicated to finding stylish and durable shoes for children that provide an excellent fit.

The shop has four owners: Victoria, Rachel, Kelly and Richard, and a sales assistant Chloe. They are proud to be a small team, collaborating and leveraging each of their experiences in the retail environment to support their customers and community, and ensure the perfect fit for little ones. They value hearing all customer feedback as they tell us their primary goal is to ensure that every customer leaves feeling happy and satisfied.

Our partnership story

Jump Shoes opened in Gosforth in 2006 and has always trusted Start-Rite, as a fitted footwear brand closely aligned to the shop’s key values of durability, style and fit. Jump Shoes proudly stocks the key Start-Rite collections of baby shoes, first shoes and school shoes.

Favourite Start-Rite Shoe styles

Rachel and Victoria tell us that their top picks for Start-Rite come from the school shoes collection, including Impact, Impulsive, Sherman and Warrior. They selected these styles for their enduring appeal, how they are trusted for their durability and are popular due to their stylish designs.

They told us: “We choose to stock Start-Rite because it’s a well-recognised brand, and we believe it offers great value at affordable prices.” Trends in children’s shoes that the Jump Shoes team are welcoming include practical waterproof footwear, and designs featuring bumper protection for enhanced durability.

Local initiatives

The Jump Shoes team contributes to its local schools and community fundraising efforts by providing vouchers for the shop and will be exploring shoe recycling schemes such as Shoe Aid in 2025.

Working in partnership

We are incredibly lucky to work with retailers who share our values. The shoe industry is built on a foundation of independent businesses, like Jump Shoes who committed to providing the very best service and product to their communities. We are proud to be a trusted partner to them.
