Celebrating our 230th Birthday with the NSPCC

We are so thrilled that 2022 marks Start-Rite Shoes 230th birthday. We have a year of exciting celebrations and of course this includes some exclusive birthday shoe styles! And we are very proud to announce that we are marking the occasion with a partnership with the UK’s leading children’s charity, the NSPCC.

We have a busy year, packed with fundraising activities and we are excited to reveal our theme with the NSPCC is, “Protecting Their Future, One Step At A Time”.

Our dedicated programme of activities will see our team provide their time, product, expertise and resources to support the NSPCC in its mission to protect children and prevent abuse.

Over the year we will be undertaking ‘230’ themed challenges and are proud to donate 230 pairs of Start-Rite shoes via the NSPCC’s services and partnerships with local authorities, charities and schools. We’ll be supporting the NSPCC throughout the year to create and share advice on pertinent parental issues, including online safety, mental health and supporting children going back to school.

We will also be revealing a bespoke NSPCC Shoe Collection, including canvas styles (hand-drawn by Start-Rite’s in-house designer), a Chelsea boot and a special slipper. These exclusive designs, available online and through our extensive network of retail partners, will be launched throughout the year, with a donation made to the NSPCC for every pair sold.

Our team will also embark on various challenges and in October we’ll be cheering along our CEO, Hugo Adams, as he runs the London Marathon. Please join us throughout the year and we particularly look forward to our celebration of National Childhood Day on 10th June, as we collaborate with high-profile influencers to raise awareness of the fantastic work that the NSPCC does.

We look forward to sharing launches, updates and our fundraising progress with you throughout this very special year.
