Visit an orchard
Nothing beats the taste of a freshly picked apple. Why not go apple picking with your children this autumn, and for an extra challenge, ask them to balance one on top of their head.
Rake the leaves
Rally the family together to try something old and something new. A favourite activity is to rake the leaves into a big pile and jump into them! You could even make a Leaf Maze in your garden or over the park. Our Chelsea boots are perfect for this type of fun with their flexible soles for day-long durability and comfort.
Hit the trails
Taking the time to wander through nature can provide the perfect opportunity to appreciate the changing colours of the leaves in autumn. Bring a spotter’s guide or plant-identifying app with you. This way both you and your little ones could learn more about your environment to take a regular hike and make it magical. Our super tough Discover boots will see you through this kind of adventure with their 360-degree protection and durable soles.
Pumpkin patch challenge
Get Halloween ready by visiting your nearest pumpkin patch. Encourage the kids to burn some energy and have a run around to find their favourite shaped pumpkin. Challenge them to push, roll or carry their pumpkin away.
Jump in puddles
Most kids will make it their mission to find the largest, muddiest puddle to jump in within five minutes of going outside after it’s rained. Our wellies are perfect for carefree splashing as they help keep little feet dry and warm.
Football for all
Autumn is an exciting time in the football leagues, with those first few games out of the way and teams starting to settle into the season. Why not gather the family to attend a match near you, or alternatively play the game yourself in your garden or a local park?
Farm fun
Visit a local farm or festival for some good old fashioned fun. There’s plenty to do on a working farm, and rides on tractors, horses or ponies could all become your next family tradition. Our Energy boots will make the perfect companion for farm fun with their flexible soles for round the clock comfort on the move.
Just roll with it
Just like puddle-jumping, hill-rolling is a fun activity that kids will love. All you need to do is climb to the top of a hill and roll down. This classic outdoor activity is a great way to connect with nature and learn to roll under control as well as helping your little ones to burn off some energy.
Go on a colourful walk
Visit your local park or head to the beach to see what you can find. Look out for unusual birds, see what different trees you can find and collect some conkers in the woods to play with once you get home.
